The Atlas of Self

A 120-page hardback about one person, and that person is you. Your palms traced from your own photos, your chart worked out for the minute you were born, your Chinese year, your moon and your numbers, all read together in one place. Send six photos and your birthday, and we make and print the rest.

Look inside

Real pages from a real atlas.

These come from the founder's own copy. Yours is drawn from your hands and your birthday, so it's yours and nobody else's.

In the hand

It is big, and it lies flat.

A4 landscape, so it is wider than it is tall and a spread opens flat across your knees. Hardcover, about a kilo, printed on heavy stock. This is the actual thing that turns up in the box.

Read on the sofa
Your palm, read across a full spread

The book in these films is the real one: that cover and that palm spread are pages we printed. The room and the reader are made with AI, so nobody in them is a customer and none of it is a review. How we use AI.

What it is for

Why people buy it.

For yourself

120 pages about you, properly typeset and printed, in a book you can leave on the table. Read it in one go or a part at a time. Your palms and your chart do not change, so it still reads the same in ten years.

For the person who has everything

They already own the candle, the whisky and the nice jumper. They do not own a book made from their own hands and their own birthday, because it did not exist until somebody ordered it for them.

It is a real book

Hardcover, A4 landscape, 120 pages, printed to order on heavy stock and posted in a box. We print it rather than email it because this is the kind of thing you want on a shelf, not in a downloads folder.

What's in it

Ten parts,
all about you.

Palmistry, astrology, your Chinese year and your numbers, read together so they actually talk to each other. It's the whole lot in one book.

  1. You, on one page

The whole of you at a glance, and how to read the rest of the book.

  2. The hand

Both hands traced from your own photos, with your life, head, heart and fate lines read off the tracing, and what your two hands say about each other.

  3. The sky

Your birth chart. Your sun, moon, rising and planets, where they sat the moment you were born, and what that means for you.

  4. Your year

Your Chinese animal and element, and what they bring.

  5. Your numbers

Your life path number and what it says about the way you move through things.

  6. The field and the eye

Your aura, coloured by what you tell us recharges you and drawn around your selfie, and your iris, read from a close-up of your eye.

  7. The ten laws

Ten old ideas about how life works, each one read through your own chart and hands.

  8. Your plans

Things to actually do, built from everything the book found.

  9. Three essays

Three short pieces written for you.

  10. Your arenas, and a close

How it all plays out across the big areas of your life, then a last word.

How it works

Ten minutes from you, then it's on us.

  1. 01

    Order

Pick your binding and check out. Buying it as a gift? Do their details yourself, or we'll send them a link.

  2. 02

    Snap and send

Six photos on your phone (your palms, each hand from the side, a selfie and one eye) plus your birth date, time and place.

  3. 03

    We make it

We read your palms, work out your chart and write your book. We check it over, then we print it and post it to you.

Your edition

Two bindings,
same book.

The hardcover is the classic. The layflat opens right out flat, so the big two-page spreads look even better. Both are A4 landscape and printed to order, with shipping at cost.

You'll need your birth time for this one, because your rising sign depends on it. It's usually on your birth certificate.

    Questions

    Good to know

Do I need my birth time?

Yes, for this one. Your rising sign and houses depend on it, so we can't make the book without it. It's usually on your birth certificate.

    What photos do you need?

Six, all from your phone: both palms, each hand from the side, a selfie, and one eye close up. We check each one as you add it, so you'll know straight away if one needs redoing.

Can I buy it as a gift?

Yep. Choose "A gift" at checkout. You can add their photos and birth details yourself, or we'll send them a link to do it on their phone.

What if a palm line looks wrong?

The book only names a line when the photo settles it. Where it doesn't, the page shows you how to find that line on your own hand instead of guessing. If something still looks off, email hello@atlasandguide.com and we'll take a look.

    How long does it take?

About ten minutes for you to add your details. Then we make and print your book to order, and we'll let you know when it's on its way. Working to a date? Email hello@atlasandguide.com first and we'll tell you whether we can make it.

What turns up in the post?

120 pages, A4 landscape, hardcover or layflat, printed to order on heavy stock with your name on the front. Shipping is charged at cost. Every plate in it is drawn from your own numbers, so nothing is stock artwork and nothing is picked from a set of twelve.

    Where do my photos go?

Your photos are only used to make your book. To read your palm lines, your eye and the side of your hand, we send those photos to Claude, an AI service made by Anthropic, and only if you tick the box that says so. We don't publish them, we don't train anything on them, and one email gets them deleted. More on where your photos go.

    Is it written by AI?

Partly. AI helps us write it, working from a big library of palmistry and astrology we've put together and checked. It's for fun and reflection, not medical, legal or money advice. More on how we use AI.
